So. I think I'm going to use basically the same design (I'm so not above shamelessly copying). I can buy similar recycled cardstock here, and I think just one pack of 100 will be way more than plenty.
I can make a very simple template on word, and then just print them out, fold them up, stamp, and mail! I might even do the cute little rafia ties in green, although I'm not really sure if we're allowed to send those through the mail here in the US. What do you think?
Excellent! I think raffia is out, but I'm sure the post office website will give you good mailing details. Let's go over what you want to write on it tomorrow! Very easy.
ReplyDeleteSo I looked it up:
ReplyDeleteThe minimum USPS letter size is 5" by 3.5". That seems to be longer than the ones in the website, but if yours are a little bigger it'll be fine. They'll still be tiny and adorable :) I would ditch the raffia and just sticker them like she did. Michaels has awesome crafting tape in all colors and GLITTERS. Check them out, they're not too bad.
And if you get them out next week it'll give you another week or two to get real invites out. And then the fun can begin!
Hmmmm that does throw a tiny wrench in things. I think she cut an 8 1/2 x 11 paper into three long pieces--maybe if I did two long pieces? Urg, I wish I wasn't so bad with dimensions and page setup! That's ok, I'll work on it today! The British postal system must be more laid back that the USPS.
